CAM: Classic American Muscle. That’s the new designation coming down the pipeline. The people responsible? The top brass of Goodguys, OUSCI and the SCCA.
When Goodguys introduced autocross at their car shows, a whole new group and focus was brought to this little weekend hobby. By combining autocross with all the gear heads, the sport was reborn and people started to take notice, especially OUSCI and the SCCA. Lucas Oil and OUSCI have created television series surrounding this sport and community, and the SCCA has seized the opportunity to revitalize yesteryear’s muscle cars through the creation of a CAM class.
Today we’re saying thanks to all the “Big Wigs” for bringing the old cars and lifestyle back into the spotlight. Keep your eye out for SCCA CAM events, OUSCI events, Goodguys AutoX and the American Autocross series. Support these organizations that are keeping the fun alive.
